Two weeks after his accident at the start of the WSK Final Cup in Lonato, Henri Möhring returned to the racing circuit. The final races of the WSK Championship took place in Cremona, Italy. The man from Hesse was back at the front of the field despite being behind in training.

“I’m happy to be fit again and to be at the start here. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to prepare perfectly for the track and had to cancel the Tony Kart team test here in Cremona last week, so I’ll have to make up for that over the course of the weekend,” said Henri, looking ahead to his second race in Cremona. However, with tenth place out of 43 drivers, he already showed his strength in qualifying and had a good starting position for the following heats.

In these, the racing youngster from Schöneck went one better. With a perfect start, he made it into the top three in all three heats. However, he struggled a little with his performance as the race distance increased in the icy outside temperatures and lost ground again. Nevertheless, he was very satisfied with the intermediate result – in twelfth place, Henri was among the front runners on Saturday evening.

Sunday did not go quite perfectly. After the youngster from the Tony Kart Racing Team fell back a little in the pre-final due to a contact and a trip off the track, he had a collision right at the start in the final and was spun in the process. He had to chase the field with a large gap and set fast times. “We can be very satisfied with the end of the season. Of course, the crash in the final directly after the start annoys me. I was able to adapt quickly to the track and the difficult conditions. Since switching to Tony Kart, I have gained a lot of international experience and feel very comfortable in the team. We’re already planning for the coming season and I’m looking forward to an exciting racing package,” says the ADAC Hessen-Thüringen e.V. protégé, already looking to the future.
