Henri Möhring experienced a perfect start to the German racing season last weekend in Mülsen, Saxony. The youngster from Hesse celebrated a hard-fought double victory in the Mini class. With this success behind him, he is now highly motivated for the start of the German Mini Kart Championship (DMKM). Henri Möhring is in top form at the start of the German season. The up-and-coming driver from Schöneck has already completed numerous races in Italy and has now successfully put the experience he gained into practice at the OAKC in Mülsen. Almost all the drivers in the upcoming German Mini Kart Championship were on the grid, making the event a real test of strength.

The youngest sponsored driver in the ADAC Team Hessen-Thüringen was among the front runners right from the start and finished second on the grid in qualifying, just a few thousandths of a second behind the pole setter. In an exciting first race, Henri fought his way to the front and celebrated his first victory in the Mini 60 on German ground. The second race was really exciting. The leaders fought thrilling slipstream duels. Henri seized his chance in the last corner and took the lead with an impressive maneuver. This also gave him victory in the daily standings.

“Wow, the overtaking maneuver in the second race was really mega. I really wanted to win,” beamed the nine-year-old at the finish line, adding, “We learned a lot during pre-season training in Italy and have now been able to successfully put this experience into practice. The victories were a good start and give me a lot of self-confidence for the coming weekend. A big thank you to my parents, the TB Racing Team and my coach Hannes Janker for their support.”

From Friday, Henri will continue at the ArenaE in Mülsen. Then young racers from Germany and abroad will compete in the premiere of the German Mini Kart Championship. This year, the German championship title will be awarded to the young drivers for the first time.
