Germany’s top mini-series is heading into the home stretch. This weekend, the ADAC Kart Masters hosted the penultimate event at the Erftlandring in Kerpen. Henri Möhring again showed a personal improvement. The races were nevertheless turbulent for him. Before the finale, he occupies third place overall in the U10 classification.

A week before the ADAC Kart Masters, Henri Möhring competed at the race track in North Rhine-Westphalia. Together with numerous opponents, he used the race of the West German ADAC Kart Cup as preparation. He quickly found his rhythm and now applied the experience gained to the weekend. As eighth after qualifying, he had a good starting position. But the heats became turbulent for the protégé from the TB Racing Team. In both heats he fell far behind due to scuffles and was only in 22nd position in the intermediate ranking on Saturday evening.

“Phew, that was a chaotic day. We have the speed for the front ranks. But it was not to be in both runs. Now I hope for tomorrow’s finals and want to make up ground there.” the nine-year-old youngster remained combative. On sunday It rained heavily and partly the course was not drivable. The race organizers decided to shorten the day, so each class completed only one final race. For Henri this was very bad. He fought his way up to 14th place in the first race and had the top ten firmly in sight. However, he did not manage to attack the top ten.

“The premature end was of course a great pity. I felt comfortable on the wet track and wanted to make up more places. In the end we can be satisfied with the performance, now only the results have to follow. A big thank you goes again to my coach Hannes Janker, he gave me valuable tips again this time. Also thanks to team boss Thomas Braumüller and my parents for their support”, the Hessian summed up his weekend.

In the overall standings, he occupies third place in the U10 classification ahead of the season finale and naturally does not want to relinquish his position on the podium at the end of the season. The finals will take place from 30.09-01.10. in the Arena E in Mülsen.
