Henri Möhring to compete for Dörr Motorsport in OK-N Junior class in 2026
After a successful 2025 season, finishing runner-up in the German Mini Kart Championship, Henri Möhring is starting the next chapter in his young career. The 11-year-old junior driver from Schöneck will move up to the OK-N Junior class in 2026 and will compete for Dörr Motorsport in the future. The Frankfurt-based racing team has been a fixture in German and international karting for years and celebrated winning the German Kart Championship this year.
With this change, Henri is taking the next step in his motorsport career. In future, he will compete nationally and internationally with a Kart Republic chassis and IAME engines. In international races, he will also receive additional support from the Italian Kart Republic factory team led by Dino Chiesa.
Just a few days after the season finale, he had his first test days in Mülsen in the OK Junior kart. He was impressed by the performance of his new machine: “The kart has significantly more power than in the Mini class, you notice the higher speed immediately. At the same time, the physical demands are greater, but that’s exactly what I’m looking forward to. I want to take on the challenge and go on the offensive in 2026 together with Dörr Motorsport and KR.”
Dörr Motorsport is also looking forward to working with the fast youngster. Team boss Rainer Dörr explains: “It’s great to have Henri on the team, a driver who practically lives on our doorstep. With his runner-up title in the Mini class, he has shown that he has the talent and ambition to hold his own among the top drivers. We want to develop him step by step and We want to develop him step by step and are looking forward to accompanying him on his journey in the long term.”
Team manager Norman Bamberger, who heads up karting activities at Dörr Motorsport, adds: “Henri fits perfectly into our philosophy. We believe in genuine talent and give it a stage – from the junior classes to professional motorsport. Together with our partners KR and IAME, we are focusing on the future in the OKN classes. Henri has the speed and attitude to immediately establish himself at the front of the field.”
For Henri, intensive preparation for the 2026 season is now underway. In the coming weeks, further test drives are planned to familiarize himself with the new equipment and physically prepare for the higher demands of the new category. The goal is to make a strong start to the new season, with the clear ambition of maintaining a top position in the OK-N Junior class.
