Kerpen. Henri Möhring continues to set the standard in the German Junior Karting Championship. At the fourth of five rounds of the season at the historic Erftlandring in Kerpen, the young driver celebrated his fourth consecutive final victory and significantly extended his lead in the OK-N Junior Championship. With pole position, a heat win and the fastest lap in the final, the driver from Motorsport Team Germany continued his impressive season.

Warm summer temperatures, plenty of sunshine and high levels of grip created challenging conditions on the 1,107-metre-long circuit. Twenty-nine drivers competed in the OK-N Junior class. Henri found his rhythm right from the start and secured the Pole Position Award as early as the qualifying session.

The Schönecker driver remained right up there at the front in the heats as well. He finished the first heat in second place, setting the fastest lap of the race in the process. In the second heat, Henri fought back, took the win and once again set the fastest lap. As a result, the ADAC Hessen-Thüringen e.V. scholarship driver topped the standings after the heats.

On Sunday, the action remained as close as ever. In the Super Heat, Henri had to settle for second place, but this still saw him retain his pole position for the final. Once there, Henri left no room for doubt. The Dörr Motorsport driver established himself at the front and controlled the race throughout. With a clear lead, he crossed the line to claim his fourth final victory in the fourth DKM race weekend. The fastest lap of the race further underlined the pace that was possible this weekend.

“The races were really intense this time and, at times, very close. That makes it all the more satisfying that we came out on top again in the end. Four wins from four races is, of course, a fantastic record. In Wackersdorf, I’d like to have another flawless weekend, keep working hard and finish the season as well as possible. A big thank you goes to my team, Dörr Motorsport, and everyone who supports me along the way,” Henri summed up contentedly.

With this latest victory, the young racing driver – who is supported by the ADAC Sport Foundation – has further extended his lead in the overall standings. With four out of five rounds completed, Henri tops the DJKM standings with 397 points. He already holds a 95-point lead ahead of the season finale. All eyes are now on Wackersdorf. It is there, during the fifth and final race weekend, that the title in the German Junior Karting Championship will be decided. Henri arrives as the clear leader in the standings and is keen to round off his outstanding season so far with another strong performance.
