Henri Möhring from Schöneck received his first present just before Christmas. The ten-year-old youngster will become a factory driver for the Italian kart manufacturer Tony Kart in 2025 and will compete on the international stage in the Mini class.

Henri Möhring switched to the Tony Kart Racing Team halfway through the year and contested his last races for the successful racing team from Italy. His successes convinced those responsible and enabled the German youngster to join the official factory team.

The Hessian is following in big footsteps. Many motorsport stars have started their careers with the successful manufacturer. Among them is the four-time German Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel. In 2001, he won the European Junior Karting Championship together with Tony-Kart. “I am very pleased to have the trust of Tony-Kart. We have already had some good races, the highlight was certainly my second place in the final of the Italian championship. I was able to learn a lot and want to build on that,” says Henri, looking forward to the new challenge.

Alessandro Sferrella, Team Principal of the Tony Kart Racing Team, is also looking forward to his new protégé: “Henri is a very talented driver. He has shown us his potential in the last five races. We have made progress and the results are there too. We know what we need to work on and where he needs to adapt his driving style to the conditions on Italian tracks. I am confident about his further development. We will work very hard because it will be a tough and challenging season.”

The ADAC Hessen-Thüringen protégé’s racing program is extensive. The first tests in Italy will begin after the turn of the year. The new racing season starts at the end of January with the WSK Super Masters Series. Henri will contest all races of the World Series Karting (WSK), as well as the Italian championship and individual events in Italy. “We are also currently working on a program to compete in the German Mini Kart Championship in my home country. Apart from one race, there is no clash of dates,” concludes the Hessian.
