Before the second round of the German Mini Kart Championship, Henri Möhring once again took the opportunity for optimum race preparation and competed in the season opener of the South German ADAC Kart Cup in Ampfing. In thrilling races, he once again secured victory on the day.

Things are set to improve this coming weekend. The conditions for this are definitely in place, as the youngster from Hesse already kept his rivals at bay at the SAKC season opener. On the 1,063-metre Schweppermannring in Upper Bavaria, the drivers were already very close together in qualifying – Henri finished an excellent second.

From the front row of the grid, the nine-year-old racer stayed in the slipstream of the leader and then took his chance in the second race. After exciting duels and with a narrow lead, he crossed the finish line in first place and also won the day’s classification.

“That was another great day of racing for us. I feel very good and have the necessary composure. This is also reflected in the results. Now it’s time to give it my all at the DKM next weekend and score as many points as possible. A big thank you to my team TB Racing and my partners for their support,” the ADAC Hessen-Thüringen e.V. protégé summed up.

Henri will be back in the kart on Friday to face the international competition in the German Mini Kart Championship. The venue will once again be the race track in Ampfing.
